Are you thinking what S&P 500 is all about? Well, this is a stock market index which would consist of 500 huge-cap companies from varied ranges of industries. This is owned and maintained by the famous Standard & Poor which is a partition of the McGraw Hill. At one time, it is the Dow Jones Dow Jones Industrial which is the most infamous index for most US stocks however since the DIJA would have about 30 companies, lots of people would still consent that S&P 500 is the better representation of the US market.
